A Hotel with High Standards - This is a hotel where service is high on the agenda. Its very friendly and the facilities are good. The large reception areas which has coffee shops and eateries and often has excellent musicians playing is a little bit of a throwback to colonial times and although the bedroom wings are modern, they are also done in colonial style. My room was comfortable with a good bed,...more [+] good air conditioning , wi-fi and a bowl of fruit which was topped up each day. The gym was being revamped but they had moved the machines to the gallery sop guest could still use them. The pool is small but pretty with lots of greenery. Breakfast was fantastic - a full range of offerings, including fresh fruits and a special Italian coffee machine. I also had dinner in Spices one evening (serving a mixture of dishes from around Asia) and it was superb
